Ginger Rogers, PhD: Ginger Rogers famously did everything that Fred Astair did - but backwards and in high heels. I am a wife, mother and scientist. I juggle grant deadlines, sick kids, experiments, manuscripts, soccer games, meetings, swim meets, travel and sometimes I clean house. But to succeed at work, I have to be as good as the guys because being on the PTA just doesn't count towards Tenure. I'm a busy gal - doing Science Backwards and in High Heels.
